Zion National Park - Angels Landing

Angels Landing magnificent red peak in Zion National Park.

There is a trail to the top of Angels Landing.  It is a 1,488 feet climb.

The trail head is by the foot bridge across the road from the Grotto Picnic Area, in Zion Canyon

The final 1/2 mile is an exciting hike along chains to the top of this magnificent  red rock.  As you walk along the ridge to the top of Angels Landing, the cliffs drop straight down 1000 feet.  The final 1/2 mile is not for those with severe fear of heights.  Don't hike to the top in a thunderstorm because of the danger of lightning.
